AEMH holds two general assemblies a year. On this occasion, conferences and working groups are organised on topics of interest for its membership. 

AEMH working group on hospital crisis management (May, Rome, Italy, and November, Brussels, Belgium, 2025) is chaired by Dr Clarisse Joachim. 

AEMH working group on the quality of life for hospital doctors (May, Wroclaw, Poland, 2026) is a common project with FEMS (the European Federation of Salaried Doctors) and is chaired by Dr Pierre Maldague.
